Paul Knobloch and I will be giving a reading and presentation for Boris Vian’s “Manual of Saint-Germain-des-Prés” at:

As you know by now I have been making a special (very specific) CD for each event. For my friends in Pasadena, I made a FREE CD that is all vocals.

Rare and hard to find recordings by Juliette Gréco, Magalie Noël, Moloudji, Serge Reggiani (also one of my favorite French gangster actor), Serge Gainsbourg, and of course Boris Vian. Vian wrote 95% of the songs.

Also it is not too late to pre-order the “Manual of Saint-Germain-des-Prés,” at Vroman’s, which will include the free CD. Remember the cd is free with the book – but first come first served.

Tonight (Paul and I) will be participating in a special event honoring the Vian book as well as the current exhibition "Semina Culture: Wallace Berman and His Circle" at the Santa Monica Museum of Art. Information down below!
